Bangkok is a city of over nine million residents. It is hectic and congested (particularly the road traffic), just like most major metropolises around the world. But its over two-century history (buttressed by almost one thousand years of Thailand's cultural development) has made Bangkok a unique city that stands out among other cities around the world. One can find not only a fine balance between old and new, but also an excellent assimilation of East and West, pretty much everywhere throughout the city. Perhaps that is why over 20 million overseas tourists visit this "City Of Angels" every year. And so, for photographers, the opportunities for capturing compelling images are almost everywhere, and the variety of scenes/contexts are literally in the hundreds.
The images above are examples of cityscape images that I have captured in and around Bangkok in the past few years.
