Half-Day Tour In Bangkok By Public Transports & Walking

Half-Day Tour in Bangkok By Public Transports & Walking

This tour typically takes around five to six hours. Due to the limited time, it is suitable for a visit to only one (at most two) cultural neighbourhood(s) within Bangkok. Please see “Bangkok Excursions” under “Trips & Destinations” for ideas. The tour can start any time of the day, but the best is early in the morning when the temperature is still comfortable (particularly during Thailand’s hottest season in March, April and May). Included in the price of this tour is one meal (lunch or dinner) at a local eatery that serves authentic Thai favourites frequented by neighbourhood clientele.

The means of travel is by public transports* (BTS Skytrain / MRT subway systems, public buses, canal/river ferries, taxis) and walking (in fact, quite a bit of walking*). I most prefer this means of traversing through Bangkok’s inner city because it is a great way to avoid this city’s notorious traffic congestions. However, the tour can reach only the areas that are serviced by the public transport systems which means the inner-city areas of Bangkok and some nearby provinces (such as Samut Prakan and Nonthaburi). Another limitation is the maximum number of guests that I can manage – four is the maximum number of people that would fit in a taxi (should we need to take one).

*Note: This tour involves a fair bit of walking and so is not recommended for those who are physically challenged
